My family law and estate planning practice is focused on helping you protect your rights during difficult transitions, caring for those you love, and managing what you own–while you’re living and after you’re gone.
I have spent the vast majority of my legal career dedicated to providing compassionate and experienced legal representation to individuals with family law issues, be it divorce or child custody. Estate planning has become more important in my life as my wife and I have two children, Thomas (age 6) and Miles (age 4). I thought of them and the need of all parents to choose guardians who would raise their children with their love, values, faith and aspirations. As a result, my practice reflects a relational focus to estate planning that preserves the memory of your affections for your loved one as well as preserving your effects and assets.
Born and raised in Cottage Grove, Oregon, I grew up appreciating the abundance of nature and our tight-knit community. Eugene and the surrounding area has always been big enough, while at the same time, retaining its smaller town feel. With it being only an hour to the coast, an hour to the mountains, with two beautiful rivers that run through it, my connectedness to the outdoor-rich locale was the driving force for my return home after four years at Pomona College in Los Angeles. If I have spare time, which frankly is rare these days, you will likely find me rafting with the family or fly-fishing at one of our gorgeous surrounding rivers or lakes.

At Pomona College I majored in Economics and minored in Politics. In between studies I played four years of NCAA football and captained the Claremont Colleges Rugby team during its first Division I season. After college, I returned to my home state and attended the University of Oregon Law School. Soon thereafter I married my beautiful wife, a critical-care nurse at Sacred Heart Riverbend, and we welcomed our first child in early April 2017.
I am a current member of Wealth Counsel, LLC, a national organization of trusts and estates attorneys who maintain the highest level of knowledge and expertise through collaboration and continuing their education on estate planning topics. I am also an active member of the Oregon Bar and Lane County Bar Associations.

My wife and I know how important it is, now more than ever, to protect our little children's future. With the proper planning, we have made sure that our child has guardians and the financial resources to be taken care of in our absence. I look forward to helping you take the same steps to preserve your legacy and provide the proper planning and structure to ensure your children are provided for in the manner you wish.
